Wow, it's been a whole year since I updated this.

I've been faithful to twice weekly workouts, and have recently included biking in my routine. When the weather cooperates, my goal is at least 2 miles a day, 5 days a week, with 2+ miles ride once each weekend.

I'll do it. Because I rock.

Monday, Mar. 31, 2003 - 1:20 p.m.

Wow, I've been lousy at updating.

Luckily, I've been pretty good at exercising.

Two workouts with the trainer per week. Walking 6-7 days a week, 1.5 miles+.

No weight loss, but clothes fit really well.

Need to ramp up weight loss.

Still a challenge to get enough water intake on weekends.

Sunday, Mar. 16, 2003 - 10:36 p.m.

Saturday:

No exercise. And, no water! I completely forget to have a beverage on days off. I had coffee, and I don't even replace with soda. Does sake in the evening count?

Sunday:

2.5+ mile walk, plus a 1 mile dog walk.

Water: 32 ozs., so a little better.

Friday, Mar. 14, 2003 - 2:01 p.m.

Wednesday, 3/12

~2 mile walk from office to train station.

Thursday, 3/13

~2 mile walk from office to train station.

Workout: 15 minutes on reclining bike, chest presses with sissy bar, rowing while seated on exercise ball, single lifting-the-weight-above-your-head-from-arm-at-right-angle, using cable weight strapped to one ankle, working inner thigh and opposite gluets and hamstrings, alternating lifting-the-weight-above-your-head-from-arm-at-right-angle with lighter weight, abs, abs and obliques, leg lifts for obliques.

See? it IS a workout!

Today:

Beautiful day, will do ~2mile walk from office to train station MOST DEFINITELY, upon returning home, will go out imediately with dog for long walk (long for me, I'm sure not for him!)

Water intake:

3/13: 52 oz

3/14: 52 oz

3.15: on my way to 60+

Tuesday, Mar. 11, 2003 - 8:07 p.m.

Today:

~2 mile walk from office to train station.

workout: warm up on treadmill, with hills (total incline 6%), 3 sets of squats, repeated while holding weights, upright rows, bicep curls, chest presses, flys, 3 kinds of abdominals

Total water intake: 60oz.

Monday, Mar. 10, 2003 - 8:02 p.m.

Today:

~2 mile walk from office to train station.

Total water: 52ozs.

Sunday, Mar. 09, 2003 - 7:26 p.m.

Today:

~2.5 mile walk, at a fast pace. Two issues: people who don't shovel their walks, and sidewalk black ice. Wiped out once before I caught on. It looked like things were melted when they actually were still frozen! Weird.

Walk was completed in one hour, with a stopover into a grocery store to buy breakfast.

Water intake was far below goal today. When I'm at home, I don't think of it.

Saturday, Mar. 08, 2003 - 4:09 p.m.

This is the first of my exercise journal entries!

Welcome to those of you who are taking a peek. Really, I put this together as a place for me to keep track of my progress.

I actually have been rather close to my goals (see over to your left) for two weeks now. Because I like things "just so", I didn't put this jounal up until I had all the pix etc. ready.

Today, I worked out for one hour with my trainer. I did the treadmill for 0.5 miles, incline 2%. Weight training: Chest presses (20lbs), alternating chest presses (10lbs), flys (10 & 8 lbs), upright rows, two types of squats with weight, abdominals.
